First win of the season!

Düsseldorf Dragons v SG Rheinland

After an unfortunate start to the season, the Dragons were able to break their losing streak on Saturday and record their first win of the season.

Right from the start, the team showed attacking spirit, stuck to their structures in a concentrated manner and were able to score early on.

However, the SG Rheinland also showed fighting spirit, but did not seem to have quite got into the game in the first half. This was something that the team was able to overcome more and more. Both teams were able to offer the spectators a very dynamic game.

The second half continued dynamically, while the SG Rheinland appeared confident and awake, the Dragons were a bit sloppy and had to concede points due to " old familiar" mistakes.

But instead of resigning, the Dragons stayed calm and started again. Strong "packages" and with some "back-to-basics", paired with playful joy, the Dragons managed to find a way back into the game and with an exciting final phase decided the game in their favour with a final score of 24:22.

Many thanks to SG Rheinland for the great rugby game and many thanks to the referees for their commitment and good performance. We are already looking forward to the second round!
