Düsseldorf Dragons 1 vs RC Walferdange

On matchday 5 of the 2nd Bundesliga West, the Dragons welcomed RC Walferdange. In the best rugby weather, the match kicked off at 3pm with a Walferdange kick followed by the first scrum of the day.

In an exciting first half with ups and downs for both teams, Walferdange were able to score early but this did nothing to dampen the Dragons' morale. Implementing well-rehearsed structures, the Dragons were able to level the score and ultimately won the first half.

Unfortunately, the second half did not go as planned. RC Walferdange increased the pressure on the Dragons after kick-off and were able to score a try and take the lead. The Dragons' game structure then broke down and what followed was predominantly 40 minutes of defensive work on the part of the Dragons. RC Walferdange won the second half, and therefore the game, deservedly.
