The Dragons are in FINAL!

The game started with a very strong opposition from the Rugby Club Essen. During the entire first half the opposition gave a very hard time to the Dragons with the clear target to upset the Düsseldorf players by taking the seat in the NRW Regionalliga final.
On the Dragons side, the pressure of the target, the nervousness of the players lead to some handling mistakes and few points scored. Nevertheless, thanks to their aggressive defense, the Dragons managed to end the first half with one more try than the RC Essen.

In the second half, the face of the Düsseldorf team changed. More structure in their moves, more support around the ball carriers combined with the same aggressive defense changed the way the game went. The support of the bench helped to tip the balance and allowed the Düsseldorf Dragons to end the game with a solid 45 to 17 point win.

As a result, the Dragons will play for the first place of the NRW Regionalliga in the Final game that will take place in Düsseldorf on Saturday 28^th June. Their opponents will be the Rugby team of Wiedenbrück. On the same day, the RC Essen and the SG Rheinland will compete for the third place also in Düsseldorf.

All the member of the Düsseldorf Dragons Rugby Club will be ready to welcome all players and supporters for a very big rugby event.
