Summary of the last two games of the Dusseldorf Dragons!

16.11.2019 - Rugby Sport Verein Köln

After clearly rattling Cologne at their last Game in Düsseldorf, the Dragons worked tirelessly to build up on the last Derby Score (23:38). Sadly however, Cologne were better prepared for the last Game of the Season (also, the first game of the second half of the season) and dominated at their Home-ground ending the Match with a score of 46:8. Despite the score, the Dragons showed great Team-spirit and determination by fighting until the bitter end, even scoring a surprising try within the last minute (What a Beautiful scene that was). 

Congrats Cologne, enjoy the next few months off!

23.11.2019 - GRC Grashof Rugby Club Essen

Our 2nd XV travelled to Essen for their last Game in the Regionalliga Rheinland in 2019. Comfortable Temperatures, a bit of Sunshine and a well maintained Pitch - something Backs dream of! In the past, the Dragons had some nice Games and managed to take some points home (which was naturally today's Goal. The only Problem here was Essen, who proved to the Dragons why they are at the Top of the League and so the Dragons found themselves defending early on. Wide Balls helped Essen create Space and break through, winning the Match with a score of 43:0. Yet again, the score does not reflect the effort given by every Dragon, they really made it hard for Essen. Unusual for the Dragons II not to score any points, yet they're still 3rd in the League as we head into the winter break.
