Children tournament at the Dragons
On Sunday 12th November, the Dragons hosted a tournament for the Under 8, Under 10 and Under 12 children. More than 110 kids from the clubs of Bonn, Essen, Münster, Köln and Wiedenbrück visited us to play rugby.
Thanks to the support of all Dragons parents, the club was set-up to welcome them all. We take the chance to thank them for their support.
All players enjoyed plenty of action on the pitch. Our young players had a very good tournament and brought some great results.
Our U8 ended at the second place with four teams involved.
We had so many players in the U10 group that two Dragons teams participated. One of these two teams managed to win the tournament when the other ended up at the fourth place. Most important is that they all enjoyed very much their time.
Our U12 players faced a strong opposition against the players of Wiedenbrück and lost their first game, but they managed to regroup and work as a team in their second game against the combined team Köln/Bonn and won it.
Congratulations to all children from all club for their great rugby playing and for keeping every game fair.
Parents and children were happy to enjoy the grilled sausages, the burgers and the cakes prepared by our support team.
All in all, a great day of rugby for the children in Düsseldorf.
